An Islamic Nursery in Nottingham
|
Introduction:
Green Nursery School is an extended project of Green Academy Trust which began after they bought the former Croft Nursery School in February 2009. The building renovated to house a modern style, fully equipped Islamic Nursery. Although the Nursery is managed by a Charity we organise many fundraising events to finance the nursery. Hence our aim is to provide what the community would expect us to offer and have planned long term aims and goals to achieve this.
The Green Nursery School is registered with Ofsted to provide care and education for up to 40 children per session between the ages of 24 months and five years. Our Standards are derived from the EYFS and the Childcare Act 2006 and controlled through inspections by Ofsted, the Fire Service and the Environmental Health Department. All staff have enhanced clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau before having unsupervised access to children.

The main goal of the Green Nursery School is to flourish and expand its occupancy and provide quality Early Years education in the local area at competitive prices. The Nursery will provide good role models and cater for the needs of Muslim children, in their spiritual, social, emotional and physical development. The Nursery will provide resources for children to encourage and adapt Islamic morals and an Islamic way of life.

Mission Statement:
Green Nursery School will provide the unique environment in which to develop your child's cultural awareness, emotional understanding, intellectual, physical and social skills. Green Nursery will provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment where every child feels confident, secure and valued as an individual.
Children will learn through their play with a balance of free choice and adult led experiences. Each child will be encouraged to progress, learn and develop a sense of self with the aid of play activities and equipment made available to them in a vibrant and motivating environment.
The happiness, well being and education of each child will be utmost importance to the staff, therefore Green Nursery will work in partnership with parents and the local community hence identifying your child's needs.
The curriculum will be responsive to the needs and abilities of each and every child, incorporating positive opportunities for all children reflecting diversity and addressing issues of race, culture, gender and disability offering each child equal access to support, development and learning.
Our Aims:
· We aim to care for children in a manner that is relaxed, friendly, stimulating, inspiring, providing children with the confidence to grow and learn at their pace. They will be in an environment that is safe, with people they can trust and to provide good role models.
· We will respect and pay due regards to each child's individual needs taking into account their race, gender, ethnicity, language and disability.
· When parents bring their children to us we want them to feel happy and secure in the knowledge that we will promote positive behaviour by creating an atmosphere of trust, security and mutual respect.
· Green Nursery School aims to help children become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to community as a whole.
